3V Performance Gen V LT Beehive Valve Spring Package – .670" Maximum Lift
Upgrade your Gen V LT valvetrain with the 3V Performance Beehive Valve Spring Package. This complete package combines PSI LS1516ML Max Life beehive springs with hardened chromoly retainers, hardened locks, spring locators and valve-stem seals.
The lightweight beehive design reduces valvetrain mass while providing the spring pressure and control required for performance camshaft applications. The PSI LS1516ML spring supports up to .670-inch valve lift when installed and verified correctly.
Package Includes
- 16 PSI LS1516ML Max Life beehive valve springs
- 16 R502-16 hardened chromoly 10-degree retainers
- 32 3VP-L011 10-degree hardened valve locks
- 16 LVS-1700 valve-stem seals
- 16 3VP-LBH60520 hardened beehive valve-spring locators

Installation Requirements
This performance valvetrain package must be measured during installation.
Before assembly:
- Thoroughly clean all components and mating surfaces.
- Measure the installed height of every valve spring.
- Target a 1.800-inch installed height unless the camshaft manufacturer specifies otherwise.
- Install the appropriate hardened shims beneath the spring locator when necessary to obtain the required installed height and spring pressure.
- Verify actual coil-bind clearance at maximum valve lift.
- Verify retainer-to-valve-seal and retainer-to-valve-guide clearance.
- Apply a thin film of clean engine oil or assembly lubricant to all mating surfaces during assembly.
- Confirm that the resulting seat and open pressures meet the camshaft manufacturer’s requirements.
Important
The .670-inch rating represents the spring’s maximum advertised lift capability. Actual allowable valve lift depends on the measured installed height, coil-bind height and required safety clearance. Never determine maximum lift from the advertised rating alone.
Professional installation is recommended. Failure to measure installed height, spring pressure, coil-bind clearance or retainer clearance can result in severe valvetrain and engine damage.
