The 3V Performance Gen V LT Beehive Valve Spring Package is engineered for customers who demand more than an ordinary drop-in spring kit.

Unlike conventional Gen V LT packages that use standard 7-degree hardware, our package features an exclusive premium 10-degree hardened chromoly retainer and lock system—a combination not currently offered in other complete Gen V LT beehive spring packages.

The increased 10-degree locking surface provides secure valve-stem engagement and dependable retention for demanding performance applications. Combined with genuine PSI LS1516ML Max Life beehive springs, this package delivers premium valvetrain control, durability and installation security.

Installation Requirements

This is a precision performance valvetrain package. All clearances and installed heights must be measured during installation.

Before assembly:

• Thoroughly clean every component and mating surface.
• Measure the installed height of all 16 valve springs.
• Target a 1.800-inch installed height unless otherwise directed by the camshaft manufacturer.
• Add the appropriate hardened shims beneath the spring locator when necessary to obtain the required installed height and spring pressure.
• Verify actual coil-bind clearance at maximum valve lift.
• Verify retainer-to-valve-seal and retainer-to-valve-guide clearance.
• Apply a thin film of clean engine oil or assembly lubricant to all mating surfaces.
• Confirm that the final seat and open pressures meet the camshaft manufacturer’s requirements.

Important Installation Notice

The .670-inch rating represents the spring’s maximum advertised lift capability. Actual allowable valve lift depends on measured installed height, actual coil-bind height and required safety clearance.

Never rely on the advertised maximum-lift rating alone. Failure to verify installed height, spring pressure, coil-bind clearance and retainer clearance can result in severe valvetrain or engine damage.

Professional installation is strongly recommended.
