3V Performance LS Premium 10° Dual Valve Spring Package
Exclusive 10-Degree Retainer and Lock System — .650"–.690" Lift
The 3V Performance LS Dual Valve Spring Package is engineered for high-performance LS combinations requiring greater spring pressure, stability, and valve control than a conventional drop-in spring kit can provide.
Unlike typical LS packages that use standard 7-degree hardware, our package features an exclusive premium 10-degree hardened chromoly retainer and lock system—a combination that provides increased locking-surface contact and secure valve-stem engagement in demanding performance applications.
The matched dual-spring design provides dependable valvetrain control for aggressive hydraulic-roller and solid-roller camshafts. With multiple installed-height options, the package can be configured to deliver the seat pressure and available valve lift required for a wide range of naturally aspirated, boosted, and nitrous-assisted LS combinations.

Installation Requirements
This is a precision performance valvetrain package. All installed heights, spring pressures, and running clearances must be measured during installation.
Before assembly:
- Thoroughly clean every component and mating surface.
- Measure the installed height of all 16 valve springs.
- Select the installed height necessary to obtain the camshaft manufacturer’s required seat pressure.
- Add the appropriate hardened shims beneath the spring locator when necessary to obtain the required installed height and spring pressure.
- Verify actual spring pressure at the measured installed height.
- Verify actual coil-bind clearance at maximum valve lift.
- Verify retainer-to-valve-seal and retainer-to-valve-guide clearance.
- Verify the inner and outer springs are correctly located and seated.
- Apply a thin film of clean engine oil or assembly lubricant to all mating surfaces.
- Confirm that the final seat and open pressures meet the camshaft manufacturer’s requirements.
Important Installation Notice
The .650"–.690" lift range depends on the engine’s measured spring installed height, actual coil-bind height, and required safety clearance. Higher-lift applications may require a taller installed height to maintain adequate coil-bind clearance.
Never rely on an advertised maximum-lift rating alone. Failure to verify installed height, spring pressure, coil-bind clearance, retainer clearance, and valvetrain geometry can result in severe valvetrain or engine damage.
Professional installation is strongly recommended.
