Maxima Performance Break-In 10W-30 is a mineral-based engine oil specifically formulated for breaking in high-performance engines, racing engines, OEM rebuilds and crate motors. Its balanced viscosity provides excellent startup flow while maintaining the oil-film strength required during initial engine operation, dyno testing and piston-ring seating.

Highly refined mineral base stocks promote fast and effective ring seating. A shear-stable polymer system helps maintain viscosity, oil pressure and protective film thickness throughout the break-in process.

Maxima’s proprietary 2X Zinc system combines two different zinc compounds to provide immediate and lasting anti-wear protection across a broad temperature range. The formula protects camshafts, lifters, bearings, piston skirts, crankshafts and other critical engine components during the engine’s most vulnerable initial operating period.

Performance Break-In 10W-30 is suitable for flat-tappet and roller-cam engines and is fully formulated without requiring supplemental zinc or break-in additives.

Application Notice

This product is intended specifically for engine break-in and is not recommended as a normal extended-service engine oil. Its elevated anti-wear additive content may adversely affect catalytic converters and other passenger-vehicle emissions components.

Follow the engine builder’s recommended priming, startup, break-in duration, engine load and oil-change procedures. Replace the break-in oil and filter after the prescribed break-in period.
