Maxima Performance Break-In 15W-50 is a mineral-based engine oil specifically formulated for breaking in high-performance engines, racing engines, OEM rebuilds and crate motors. Its high-viscosity formula provides strong oil-film protection for engines with performance-oriented bearing clearances operating under elevated loads and temperatures.

Highly refined mineral base stocks promote fast and effective piston-ring seating. A shear-stable polymer system helps maintain viscosity, oil pressure and protective film thickness throughout the break-in process.

Maxima’s proprietary 2X Zinc system combines two different zinc compounds to deliver immediate and lasting anti-wear protection across a broad temperature range. The formula helps protect camshafts, lifters, bearings, piston skirts, crankshafts and other critical components during initial startup, dyno testing and engine break-in.

Performance Break-In 15W-50 is suitable for both flat-tappet and roller-cam engines and is fully formulated without requiring additional zinc or break-in additives.

Application Notice

This product is intended specifically for engine break-in and is not recommended as a normal extended-service engine oil. SAE 15W-50 should be selected according to the engine’s bearing clearances, oil-pressure requirements and expected operating temperature.

Follow the engine builder’s recommended priming, startup, break-in duration, engine load and oil-change procedures. Replace the break-in oil and filter after the prescribed break-in period.
